SOS Bears - a symbol of change1 There is one waiting just for you!
SOS Bears
According to the Oxford Dictionary 'stigma' is "a mark of disgrace associated with a person, a personal quality, or a personal circumstance." Unfortunately stigma occurs throughout society. Even people who have made mistakes in the past are pushed to the margins and discriminated against. To be stigmatised can be lonely and isolating. But stigma occurs because of an attitude. And attitudes can change.
So let's make the change. Let's change how we see people; how we perceive others. And see beyond an initial appearance or ability, and forgive those for past mistakes.
Let's stop the stigma. It's time to create a more respectful and accepting society, by stamping out stigma.
